Created in YC112, the Solenus Directive was established by an addendum to the CONCORD Assembly initiative which allows corporations on behalf of the DED to destroy elements of criminal organizations threatening the well being of the empires. The Solenus Directive is one of the first paramilitary organizations to be created in order to suppress the incursion of Gurista, Sansha, Blood Raiders, Angels, EOM, The Seven and Serpentis pirates in empire space.

The Solenus Directive conducts missions in order to extinguish the pirate criminal element who threatens the livelihood and well being of the citizens from the four main empires.

In the year YC120 The Solenus Directive, after being inactive for 5 years, has been recomissioned by CONCORD Assembly iniative B-512
